Transport Education Training Authority Discretionary Grants Roadshows - Western Cape

The TETA cordially invites all its Stakeholders to attend the Discretionary Grants (DG) roadshows that are planned to take place in the following regions listed below.

Who should attend the roadshows?

  • Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs) operating within the transport sub-sectors.•
  • SDFs and representatives of NGO, CBOs CBCs, Non-Levy Paying Enterprises and Taxi Associations in the transport sector as per the DG advert.• Companies that are interested in implementing TETA scope programmes.•
  • Accredited training providers•
  • Trade Unions in the transport sector•
  • Public Training Providers (HEI, TVETs and CET colleges)•
  • Professional and Regulatory Bodies

Topics to be discussed for the day are as follows:

  • DG Process
  • Strategic Projects
  • Funding Framework
  • DG policy

The roadshows will be held as per the schedule below. Confirmation of attendance is compulsory, and it should be submitted as per RSVP form provided to email accounts provided per province in the table below before 25 October 2021. Please note that the DG Workshops will be conducted online. A link will be shared with stakeholders who confirmed that they will attend.

TETA was established in terms of the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998 (SDA). It is a public entity that reports to the Minister of Higher Education and Training and operates under the oversight of National Treasury in terms of performance management and financial administration. TETA is a Sector Education Training Authority (SETA) responsible for skills development in the transport sector.
