Overview
The Performance Monitoring and Evaluation unit follows a results based monitoring and evaluation approach to monitor and evaluate the performance of TETA based on the outcomes and pre-determined objectives as set out in its Strategic Plan and the organisational Annual Performance Plan. The unit is responsible for performing evaluations to inform decision making processes and to support other planning processes in the organisation. The Unit also generates organisational performance reports, tracks progress on other national priorities such as NDP 2030, transformation targets and ensures that NSDP outcomes are addressed.
Key Functions
To support TETA’s mandate, Performance Monitoring & Evaluation unit has the following key functions:
- Review and ensure alignment of Strategic Planning documents in line with the DPME Framework
- Institutionalize TETA M&E framework
- Alignment of Sector Skills Priorities to the Strategic Plan outcomes
- Allocation of annual performance targets to relevant units in conjunction with the SD&LP unit
- Performance tracking and reporting at an organisational level
- Perform evaluation studies
- Monitor Compliance with internal processes
- Report on performance risks and provide recommendations to mitigate the risks
- In conjunction with the R & K unit, produce chapter 5 of the Sector Skills Plan
